Grateful Patients Give Back

Atrium Health Foundation has established the Grateful Patient Program to provide opportunities for patients to express their gratitude for the care they have received at Atrium Health. Charitable gifts may be made in honor of a physician, nurse, or other caretakers who have been a part of a patient’s medical journey. We will notify caregivers of any gifts made in their honor.

How will my gift of gratitude be used?

Philanthropy plays a vital role in the ability of Atrium Health, a not-for-profit hospital, to offer the most advanced technology, services, and world-class medical care. Contributions from grateful patients help to enhance the quality of medical care available today while laying the groundwork for future medical innovations at Atrium Health. Their gifts contribute to leading-edge healthcare equipment, clinical research, special patient programs, and physical space that support positive outcomes and experiences for patients.

Gifts, large and small, from grateful patients and their families provide funding to advance Atrium Health’s mission: to improve Health, elevate Hope, and advance Healing – for all.

You will see a complete list of Fund Designation areas on the Grateful Patient Donation Form. You may also elect to have your gift used where it is needed most.

Benefactor JB Brown Honors Atrium Health Nursing Stars
When Jeffrey "JB" Brown became a patient of Atrium Health Perspective Health and Wellness, he found himself on a meaningful and personal journey to achieve better health and wellbeing. Recently, the family man and president of Hendrick Automotive Group contributed to the Atrium Health Nursing Fund and recognized his nurses -- Lanita Hairston and Crystal O'Neal -- through the Nursing Stars program. Made in gratitude for the care he received at Perspective Health and Wellness, JB's generous gift will help to ensure other patients across Atrium Health, including those at Perspective Health and Wellness, continue to receive the same patient-centered nursing care he experienced firsthand.
